Help, Old Samsung Stratosphere screen won't turn on

I have the really old Samsung galaxy stratosphere and it works until now. The screen won't turn on but the keyboard still lights up. Not even the four buttons on the front turn on. Also, on the back of the keyboard there is a weird black electrical tape?? Im not sure what it is and I need help ASAP. Its my only phone!

Hi and welcome to Android Central.

That definitely sounds like a hardware problem. Unfortunately, you'll probably need to get a new phone. That model is almost 5 years old, so it wouldn't be worthwhile to have it repaired.
