For those who need/use tethering, WifiTether works! Only works on 3G for obvious reasons.:)

I don't know if this has been covered but to gain root access download super user binaries 3.0.3 efgh from rom manager. Then boot into recovery and find the file you dl'ded and flash it. Wipe delvik and reboot. When the device completely loads go into market and download superuser. Finally...
