Yeah I updated my profile last night, I wasn't sure I would like it when it was first announced but the streamlining is amazing. I'm sure it's more useful for people who use Facebook frequently but I'm nonetheless quite impressed with it so far.

Coming from a creaky plastic OG Evo, which I still loved btw, this is absolutely a well designed phone. Sure, the photon has a more interesting body shape, but this phone is still slim and sexy to me.

I spend most of my time inside and for me it's plenty visible at the lowest setting. When I'm out in the day time though it's cranked up about half way

higher resolution plus smaller screen equals crisper or sharper looking images. While the GS2 will have more vibrant colors, the iPhone will look a little bit more sharp.

Not sure I understand, as I've never had an iPhone. Isn't Facetime essentially a "dedicated app" for video chat? In any case, Google Talk, which comes standard on Android phones, supports video chat as of 2.3.4. No reason to think it would be any different in ICS.

There's always rooting and custom ROMs. Having just upgraded from my Evo, the dev community has done wonders to keep this phone relevant with updates.

EOL = End of Life, which is the point at which future support for a device becomes unnecessary. That's not to say that carriers are guaranteed to stop updating phones past their EOL as I believe the OG Droid saw support from VZW for a long time, but once it's past that date it's much less likely...
