As per the first link, I called B&N, spent 25 minutes talking to some tech support guy (here in the US at least by his accent) and a new replacement cable is on the way to me free of charge.

Get a 2gb sd card and put all the stuff on it needed for rooting, along with a nice set of printed directions and include that. Leave the stock firmware stock and un-registered, etc. so the buyer has the choice of using as-is or rooting

Or just download DSL Linux (50mb or so) or any other livecd distribution and use dd to put the image on the sd card

OK, so I've had this NC for 2 weeks now, and it is driving me nutz. Started by putting HC on the internal memory. Works great, except I can't play youtube stuff, and files on my sd card aren't playable either (tried MP3, video in mp4, flv, avi, mpg formats), and I can't get Firefox to install...

Had the same issue, clear your market place cache - directions are in the hc on internal memory sticky up above

Got a new NC, immediately instaled honeycomb to the internal memory following the sticky Youtube loads and i can hear the first 1/10th of a second of audio then i get an error about the file being unplayable. Same with a mp3 flv or mp4 file copied to a sd card Ideas?
