How can I disable the spam messsages folder? And is there something I can use besides another messaging app where I can block people and not see the messages still in like a spam folder?

What I mean by profile is where you go into contacts and it lets you set up a profile with a pic so when your texting your pic shows up. I set it and then reboot and its erased. I have an S5 AT&T running Android 5.0 on Straight Talk's AT&T sim

Im using the AT&T Note 2 on 4.3 stock firmware and when I change the my info picture it wont change to the current one that I have when I text someone. If I go back into my info and scroll down where it shows google+ it shows my old picture that keeps showing up but i cannot change it. How do I...
