So.. Will you get the V30?

Nope. Never LG again. Not being able to unlock the bootloader for certain regions is a deal breaker for me.

    corrupt sd card

I would say chances are pretty high. One if these should have happen: 1) An error on your phone caused the corruption, I this case, the card is fine after a format. 2) Your card has corrupted clusters. On this scenario your card will always became corrupted when you reach that clusters.

    LG V20 and Removable Batteries

TVs and other home appliances most important part is the hardware. Smartphones are a combination of hardware and software. Personally I don't like LG software and they also have one if the worst customer service.

    LG V20 and Removable Batteries

I agree LG should keep the removable battery. We have plenty of options of waterproof devices. The only hardware I would add to this device are the front facing stereo speakers. Once you have use them, bottom firing speaker became an annoyance.

    LG V20 and Removable Batteries

LG phones quickly got discounts. I purchased my v20 for $400. Similar options are the xiaomi 6 and one plus 5. Personally I won't buy another LG and probably will go for oneplus as my next device, but only next year.

    LG V20 and Removable Batteries

Re: It's true, batteries WILL degrade overtime.. I never said there is no degradation. I consider myself a heavy user and most days my device can't hold the whole day without an extra juice. I also charge my phone overnight (not the best thing to do) everyday. With that in mind I have never...

    LG V20 and Removable Batteries

Re: It's true, batteries WILL degrade overtime.. Well, there are many factors such as heat and the ones I already mentioned. But a battery shouldn't degrade that much in 8 or 9 months under regular usage. You may have been unlucky.

    LG V20 and Removable Batteries

Re: It's true, batteries WILL degrade overtime.. Sorry, but everyone knows it is true. 😀 But 9 months only do that if the battery wasn't used correctly, keeping it too long without any charge or going through much more cycles than average.

    This is a great phone...

OMG. Just checked the XDA thread that had a bounty for unlocking the bootloader and they actually made it! This changes a lot this device for me! 😁 Seems I already have something to do this weekend. Probably there aren't custom ROMs yet.

    This is a great phone...

If I could unlock my phone's bootloader I would call this device awesome. But I can't even root because LG released the unlocking tool just for some variations of the v20. This is the main reason I am so upset with this device and LG. Honestly I don't see myself buying another LG device...

Re: Is the V20 the best phone you've ever had? I see. Probably there is something on my side but I got many hiccups when opening the navigation drawer without appearent reason. Sometime soon I will factory reset and see how it goes. But I believe everyone agrees that LG software is nor amongst...

Re: Is the V20 the best phone you've ever had? Exactly, app updates makes everything lag. And this should never happen on this device. You shouldn't need to disable auto updates.

Re: Is the V20 the best phone you've ever had? The Nexus was faster for me. But I will try formatting and see if it gets better. The main complain I have is the lack of bootloader unlocking tool for the version I own. This is the main reason I don't consider this the best. Hardware wise it is...
