I currently have the same issue. Reminders worked perfectly for a few months but then just randomly stopped working. I'd set a reminder using my Google Home mini and the device saves the it on my Google Calendar, but it won't actually notify me of the reminder.

Yes, I've tried wiping the app and wiping the phone. No luck.

Yes, I checked battery settings as well. I even tried adding my Yahoo account to the Gmail app so I can get timed syncing, but still no luck. Any other suggestions would be most welcome.

I'm experiencing the same thing. It's a syncing issue. Gmail doesn't want to sync while running in the background, therefore there are no notifications of new mail. I have to actually go into the app and refresh it in order to get my new mail. I'm experiencing the same issue with my Yahoo email...

Uninstall and reinstall fixed it for me.

My daily driver is an LG G4, and I have a Moto G 2015 2/16 as a back-up phone. The Moto G can hold its own as a daily driver.

I guess the Moto G doesn't allow it. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't an error on my part. Thanks!

The M8 is a very good phone. You can't really go wrong with upgrading from an M7 to an M8. But being a prior M8 and M9 owner, I can say that the G4 is a better phone than both.

I've had no heat issues with my G4. It got hot once while charging but it cooled down quick. The M9, I had to return because it would get too hot.

Got my free spare battery last week, charged it up, and now it's collecting dust in my drawer. I've never had to use it. Maybe I'll swap batteries once in a while.

Another M9 capability that I wish the G4 had is being able to block spam calls by saving all the spam phone numbers to one dummy contact and then blocking the contact. The G4 can only block phone numbers, up to a certain amount. Unless I'm doing it wrong.

The double tap to wake on my HTC seems to be a just a tad bit more responsive than on my G4. The G4 is definitely more curved than the M9. I have the leather version. I'm not much of a camera guy so I never really played around with it.

I had the same issue with my M9. I kept the phone for a few days to see if the problem would fix itself, but it didn't. Mine went up to about 45c, which I thought was not only very uncomfortable to use, but possibly dangerous as well. I returned the phone within the buyer remorse time frame...
