It's not an app, it's settings > about phone > battery > battery use

If all you want to do is run rooted apps, unrevoked is the simplest way to do this. If you want to be able to install custom roms, or do anything more - follow the xda tutorial. It's more time-consuming than it is hard, and you won't have to do it again.
