    Do I have to unlock my screen to turn off the alarm clock?

    I haven't tried it on safe mode. I read something about a fix in the new nougat update, but I have android 7 and have the same problem. I may download an alarm app but there's no guarantee that I won't have to unlock the phone for that app either.

    Do I have to unlock my screen to turn off the alarm clock?

    I have a Nexus 5x that requires me to unlock the phone before I can turn off the clock alarm. But I have to go into the app and disable the alarm. Is there a way to set the stock clock app to swipe left/right for snooze/stop?
