I'm trying to integrate elevation data from SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) to display it using OpenGL. Does anyone have any experience, hints or pointers on the best way on how to do this? Any way to use it directly as elevation map in openGL? I'm grateful for any leads...
