    Why does the AUX cord not work on my Samsung Galaxy S6?

    My headphones work fine. But when I plug an aux cord in to play music via the stereo or the car stereo I just get a bunch of static and the music still plays through the phone speaker. The AUX cables work fine on my partners I-Phone 6. I've tried everything - please help!
