Went thru all that, they only Services that kept coming was Google Play Store. However it looks like clovehitch2 Nailed it, I've turned off Wi-Fi calling and I've had no more location issues. It no longer keeps turning on the Location, it has stayed off. Just poor cell coverage call/service...

Interesting, I have it on as Coverage here and where I travel is iffy, and it helps make/get calls. Google Play and IMS Service show as the only users when I catch it on.

Well, this damn phone has gotten much worse at this after the post Oreo Updates. IT seems to be semi related to location and wireless connections, but it's getting very very annoying! Wish there was a physical off switch for the GPS antenna!

As long as the damn phone leaves the location services off and I don't stay in a non AT&T Coverage Area I can easily get 48 hrs pre Oreo. Hopefully Oreo won't screw that up.

My S7 Active continues to turn Location Services on at random, somewhat more frequently these days. It appears to be Google and the Play App Store looking to see where you are so as to do what? Spy on you and suggest apps based on where you are?

Just remember any device with a "soft" power switch is never truly off. This alone drives me nuts that they issue Energy Star ratings that still use power when "off".

I've had issues with Texting a Image from one S7 to another and or S7 Actives. The text comes though,m but the images are "Canceled"

Well, I caught the Location Services back on again today, and the culprit seems to continue being Google Play Services. Thankfully none of the nagging messages are back, yet.

Here is a strange turn, I took an extended trip out of state, and the phone stopped doing the constant annoying activity (at least for now). Will keep my fingers crossed that it's over with, but can't explain why traveling a ways from my "home" area would stop the activity.

Google Play Services does not show that Location is an App Permission, but the "Google App" has an App Permission of Location and it's on. But it gives you a warning that things may stop working if you turn off Location for the App.

Yea, based on location services usage it appears to be Google Play. But I'm not ready to wipe and reload, at least not yet.
