    I'd uninstall updates from the Google app, restart the phone, then update the Google app and see if that helps. As mentioned, something in the app is hanging on to a GPS connection. Posted via the Android Central App

    4.2 .Stock kernel

    Looking to flash back to the stock 4.2 kernel... Downloaded the file from Google and only see a boot.img.p file in the patch directory, not seeing a boot.img file anywhwere. Not exactly sure what the difference is... Can anyone point me in the right direction to flash back to the stock...

    check if you accidentally disabled the framework services when doing the force stop/clear data...if so, enable it again and see if that helps.

    Sending and Receiving MMS

    Kinda of a PITA...but if you crop the image prior to sending, it won't be sideways anymore. Or, I downloaded Vignette to use as my camera app and it works great...doesn't rotate the image at all and has more options than the stock camera.

    The number of bars showing doesn't seem to accurately reflect the signal strength, at least on my nexus. Compared my signal strength with both an evo shift and moto photon on several occasions and they all were getting about -86 dBm, despite mine showing 1 or 2 less bars.

    I wouldn't rely simply on the # of bars showing... had them side by side yesterday and while the photon had two more bars showing, the nexus signal strength was slightly higher at -84 dBm vs. -86dBm for the photon...
