I've been considering going back to android but I really like the text messages going to my iPad. Honestly iOS 7 & 8 have been very buggy and glitchy for me. My iP6 stutters all the time. iOS 6 and iP5 was the best it got.

People are stupid. They buy what gets advertised to them. Samsung and Apple are marketing kings and dominate market share. Coincidence? No.

It all depends who replaces your device. Verizon usually ships another out to your house without much fuss. A retail exchange may be harder. Burn in on AMOLED is a major issue. A lot of manufacturers with AMOLED screens have moved to transparent/semi-transparent system bars and soft key bars...

Why is my S5 so laggy/sluggish when compared to my friend's new iPhone 6 Plus... Could be just my N7, but I doubt it. Many reviewers said how amazing the Galaxy S3 display was, now a few years removed, owners admit it looked looked like crap. Heck, I haven't seen a AMOLED screen I liked...

If it didn't have banding, the camera wouldn't make it up. Agree to disagree I guess. 5 people on my end said "what the heck" when I pointed it out and no other device I've tried looks as bad.

I don't need my DSLR to convey it looks significantly worse than screenshots in real life.

Could be, I'm really picky on displays. Screenshots don't show how a LCD panel displays the image, that's why I used a camera.

The photo is real life. Below is a screenshot from my N7, which looks better than it does when I actually look at it on my nexus with my eyeballs, so unless my N7 is broken, I dunno.

I compared it against an HTC One, iPhone, iPad and PC. The N7 was the only one with the issue. I read somewhere that it was a software thing and that ROMs would fix it (which was disappointing since I wanted Nexus devices to avoid dealing with ROMs and things not working). I flashed 4 ROMs...

I remember it being a huge problem on the HTC EVO LTE. But if you search, you'll find links for bent iPhone 5's, HTC EVO LTE's, HTC ONE's, pretty much all the metal ones. I don't really care about plastic or not, as long as it looks good and doesn't creak. It goes right into a case anyhow.

Apple has become unreliable for OS updates, its frustrating. I would never upgrade to a new release without any updates, no way. The 4S came out in 2011, except for Nexus (Is the Galaxy Nexus even getting L?) which Android devices from 2011 are still getting updates? I also will never update...

Didn't this come up with the iPhone 5 too? I'd imagine it's going to be a bigger issue with such an enormous slab.

With much less. Do not forget the iPhone/iPad is dual core only with 1GB of memory. (iPad 2 is only 512MB). I've often said specs do not matter, only user experience matters. I still do stand by that. Even my Nexus 7 has to reload widgets when I hit the home button and has lag/stutter issues...
