    Titanium Backup and Google Wallet

That's good advice. I haven't done it that way before, but I will from now on.

    Titanium Backup and Google Wallet

That is a good question. Maybe someone on here can answer this. Like you, I just avoid loading it up with TiBu. TiBu backs up Google Wallet on my phone. However being rooted, I don't have Google Wallet available to me in the app store, so it would not be downloaded anyway. Check to see if GW...

6+ months is too, too, long.....

Dang... I had an LG Touch before this phone. This is the best thing since sliced bread. Actually, my son -in -law suggested that I buy this phone. I now know why my daughter married him. He's a smart guy. Although I realize it is not for everyone, it has been a good phone for me.

Ok, enough is enough. Goodbye Galaxy Nexus.

Touchdown Jesus, are you in Dayton? I think that is the home of the original Touch Down Jesus.

    Franco's Kernel APP

MD stands for Message Digest. It is a hashing algorithm that works well on large files, but is really sucky on small files. For our purposes, it works great as a file verifier. If the MD5 values match, the file was downloaded with no errors.

    How are the new radios?

Dang... Let me know how calling tomorrow works. I'd like to make some money in the stock market. Can I call myself? (tongue firmly in cheek). :-)

Still on my first, bought the week after launch. No problems. Running the leaked 4.0.4.

The update is coming so I unrooted and here is why....

Running the stock pre-rooted 4.0.4 and using Google Wallet with no issues. Now, I rooted and updated the ROM before I loaded up Google Wallet. So I don't know if that makes a difference.

    Battery cover with kickstand?

Both Verizon and Seidio make these. I have the Verizon version right now, but I am going to order the Seidio version today. Android Central has a sale going on over the Easter weekend. The important part for me is that they both have matching holsters. I know, very uncool, but I prefer a...

The update is coming so I unrooted and here is why....

And I must be one of the few with minimal problems. I get no 4G and almost no 3G at home (really bad spot, very low compared to most of the neighborhood). I get decent 4G at work. I just have tasker turn on WiFi when I get home; and no problems. I updated to the pre-rooted but otherwise stock...

    NFC problems- tagstand.com

Get their hobbyist kit. Some tags work much, much better than others. The ultralight C tags work great! They look like a big, red and black bullseye, but other than being ugly, they're good tags.

    NFC problems- tagstand.com

In my (two order) experience, Tagstand has been a reliable source. No problems, fast service, just a good experience. As stated above, the GNex requires NDEF formatted tags.

    Razr vs GN question

It is hard to quantify the true percentage of phones with problems, as you only get anecdotal evidence from a forum such as this. I also read the horror stories about the GN. My son-in-law, who seems to have had every Android phone ever made, told me to go ahead and get it, but be prepared to...

Anyone using NFC tags with their Galaxy Nexus?

Tasker can be as simple or complex as you want it to be. NFC tags are a good way to start with tasker, as you don't need to set up a profile. I'm no tasker expert, but there are some things you can do easily with tasker that are otherwise difficult. Making a complex process in tasker requires...

Your taste in rum is superb. Whiskey, now there I'd just stick with Gentleman Jack rather than having the honey mixed in with it.

    Problem after going to 4.0.4

There is a set of 4.0.4 ROMs on rootzwiki that are pre rooted, with various options. I had the same issues as you the first time I rooted, that is, losing root after updating to 4.0.4. However the ROMs on rootzwiki work great. I've had no problems since I flashed one of the pre rooted ROMs from...
