NVIDIA Shield Tablet's first firmware update brings big improvements | Android Central

Update consists of the following

Got it yesterday. I don't see any difference in performance yet, but I didn't have any WiFi issues before.

The update did un-root my device though.

Yes most updates on any rooted device if it successfully installs will unroot the device.
