Just downloaded the latest Shield software upgrade 6.0.1. Check to see if the upgrade is available for your Shield tablet. BTW, I have the K1.

The upgrade process went smoothly. The process is exactly the same as other Android OS updates/upgrades with the "Optimizing Apps" step taking the longest. Everything appears to be running OK.

The K1 is now running Android 6.0.1, security patch level: 07/01/2016. The Kernel version is 3.10.67+, build date of September 02, 2016.

I got the same one for the original Shield Tablet tonight. I held my breath when I saw it in the notifications, hoping for 7.0 haha
