System interface unresponsive

If I leave the tablet on overnight and off the charger, when I come back to it several hours later i am finding that the entire interface is extremely slow and unresponsive. Just unlocking the screen can be a challenge. If I can get the screen unlocked, then it's difficult to access the web or open any apps until the system has finished doing whatever it's doing that's making it slow. Any idea as to why this is happening?

If that doesn't help, then see if the problem persists in Safe Mode.

This is a common issue on the nvidia forums and i experiance the same issue. Someone suggested turning off daydream in the display settings. I tried this and it worked for a few days but went back to being very slow after waking the tablet after a long period of not using it.

Also try boosting the memory & cleaning out all the junk it has collected & accumulated

The NVIDIA Shield Tablet may be built with gaming in mind but it's still prone to stuff that make it act like any other tablet on the market…
