How to turn off Android Central Notification emails from the forums?

I have the AC Android app on my phone. I also use Tapatalk and have it setup on my phone and iPad. I just got a new iPad in the last couple of days and of course I set it up. This time on my iPad I added the Tapatalk HD app and included Android Central. Now my email box is getting swamped with emails fro AC forums. I can't find anyplace to shut this off. The website is getting on my last nerve because the only option given is to "Enable Notifications" and it doesnt allow me to move unless I click that sole choice. ABout ready to de-install all traces of Android Central.

On the main AC forums website, click on the Settings dropdown right below your username and avatar. Then click General Settings, find Default Thread Subscription Mode, and change it to Do Not Subscribe (or Through My Control Panel Only).
