I have a friend who got a HTC Legend in Thailand on vacation. She would like to use it here in the states on AT&T. Using her AT&T SIM, she is able to make calls and access data via WiFi, but can't access data over 3G. Is there anyway to unlock the phone to be fully functional on AT&T's network?

Thanks for any help.

I am not familiar with the GSM Android devices, but if it's anything like other devices its a matter of editing the network information.

My guess would be to go into settings>wireless controls>mobile networks>access point names>new apn

Then use this CaSe SeNsItIvE information.

name: AT&T
apn: wap.cingular
proxy blank
port blank
username:WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
password:CINGULAR1
server blank
mmsc: http://mmsc.cingular.com
mms proxy: wireless.cingular.com
mms port: 80
mcc:310
mnc:41
apn type blank
