There's this homebrew app you can install for the pre called preware... I was wondering if there was something like that for this.. and my main question is i'm trying to find a way to get k-lite codec pack installed for my motorola photon which is a great phone.... just clueless on how to get homebrew apps, and I read somewhere it's possible to turn k-lite standard codec to sdk to it'd install... I have VLC player (the one someone made for android, ex. sdk) Can someone help I'm quite new..

Preware was more of a "market" for both apps and tweaks that was almost as easy to install as app (one if the things I miss about WebOS along with my touchstones) but in oder to tweak an Android beyond the many options available as-is, you need to replace the ROM or "root" your phone. Think "jailbreak" and check out this from the forum:
