Switching Devices: How do I recover my data?

I specifically need help getting my apps back. I have set up my google account, went to the market, navigated to "my downloads" and the only thing that is there is "Google Maps"

If your switching devices, I'm pretty sure you can't.

Unless your old device was rooted and you had APP2SD.

Download an app called "AppBrain" from market. Sync your old device with AppBrain (You'll need to create an account).

Then download AppBrain on your new device, and push the installs from the web interface.
