what am i doing wrong??????
i am trying to root my EVO. i copy the pc36img file to the sd card, i restart (using the power/volume down method) and it starts running something. then when it looks like it is going to complete, i get an error that basically says the version i am installing is older. so i tried to use the simpleroot program/process. it also gets to the same point (4th button) and fails.
now i am not sure that it matters, but i currently pay for hotspot. i am not trying to get anything for free, i just want to see what froyo looks like especially since that dude got the cameras working.... can anyone help a brother out

What method are you using.
Maybe post a link to that tutorial.
