Cancel System update

I have my Moto Droid rooted and Bugless Beast V0.4 installed, I keep getting a notice to update through Verizon for Android 2.2, but I do not want to update otherwise it kills my root. How do I permantly set it to not remind me that I Verizon wants me to update my phone? So far I didn't find anything in the forums explaining how to do it. Any help would be great.

I did some research and I found an answer to my question. I am using Rom Manager on my phone, and with that I was able to accept the update from verizon. When the phone restarts to download the new 2.2 update Rom Manager blocks it and now I am no longer getting the notice to update my phone.
