Good Morning,

I have a question that hopefully someone here could clear up for me. Does anyone know what the legality is of someone basing an application off of a website thats not theirs? Is it legal as long as they dont claim the website as their own or how does that work?

The reason I ask is someone asked me to develop some graphics for their application, which is in turn based off of a website.

This is in no way legal advice and I am not an attorney (you should contact one before proceeding), but at the very least you should get written permission from the owner of the website if you plan on using those images.

yeah, I dont plan on taking any of the graphics off their site, just didnt want to aid in anything that may not be legal. im thinking its probably fine, i see tons of apps out there that interact with websites that are not created by those sites, but i could be wrong..
