Last Friday I went out to go to lunch with friends. As soon as I got to the restaurant, my watch started vibrating, and the screen said my water heater was leaking. I told my friends I had to rush home. When I got there there was water gushing out of the water heater onto the basement floor. Fortunately I was able to turn the water off before much damage. I got Smart Things sensors several months ago for the dishwasher, the washing machine and the water heater. I keep seeing articles claiming that smartwatches are useless gadgets. This experience, and many other uses I have for my watch, beg me to differ.
