Cannot retrieve wifi password

Hi all,

When i following the guide on internet, i can't find file wpa_supplicant.conf in /data/misc/wifi but in /etc/wifi instead. Actually, my /data folder is empty. The real problem is when i open wpa_supplicant.conf, there is no network or psk for me to retrieve password, but a ton of description, example, nonsense thing. Can you help me how to retrieve my stored wifi password.

Is there a reason the network admin has not freely given you the password?

Not sure why your looking in wpa_supplicant.conf for your internet password. In most cases passwords are located on the back of routers. Other option is to log on to your router admin panel after wiring up an Ethernet cable from your router to your computer. You should be able to set a new password from there.
