Why does my camera show me a white space or a pink dotted screen?

Camera Problems! Help Asap. Please

I got this phone recently and it was doing great until I took a picture using the back camera and the only thing I can see is either a blank white space or a pink dotted screen. I had to restart my phone or exit the camera app and do it again. Please help. Thank you so much.

Welcome to Android Central! So when does the white or pink dotted screen appear? Right after you take the picture? Or when you review the picture? Did it freeze on that white screen, forcing you to restart the phone? When you tried to take a photo again after restarting, does the same problem occur?

Since you recently got the phone, you may want to bring it back to the store (if it hasn't been too long) and see if you can get an exchange. Otherwise, you may have to contact Sony for warranty repair or replacement.
