Sony Xperia Z1 Compact — Photo album problem

I've noticed that some old photos appear first in the album randomly even if I delete them. And also some photos are blurred. Someone with the same problem and know how to fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! Which gallery app are you using? The stock Gallery app, or the Google Photos app? Are the photos that reappear saved to the cloud somewhere?

I'm using the app that came with the phone. I think it's just called Album. And no, the photos are not in the cloud. But once in a while the same four or five deleted photos appear again first in the album. Strange behaviour.

Are they photos you took with the camera app, or that you downloaded from the web?

Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Gallery, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. Then open it again, and wait a few seconds for the database to repopulate. Do the photos keep coming back?
