New to Xperia Z1 and Android

I have always used Blackberry and just upgraded to a new Sony Xperia Z1. I am beyond happy with this device, probably one of the best phones i have ever used. But can anyone tell me what this icon is telling me by the network signal

It just appeared after using the phone for 3 days, nothing under notifications.

Anyone have any idea?

Welcome to Android Central! I read elsewhere that the icon represents Low Battery mode, which makes sense since your battery is at 16%.

Thank you, after i charged it for a bit the icon did go away. THanks again for the help.

It'll be set to a specific level have a look at the settings and see what it is set at? Its Deco for low battery level as suggested?
