Re: Post Your Pictures

Some nice photos here. Perhaps a tad over-saturated but on the whole, not too shabby.

Leaning towards a Z3 when my 1020 contract runs out in Feb.

I love the camera on the Z3 however I expect some kind of software fix to get the most out of the unit. This is a guy coming from the superior likes of the Lumia 920 and 1020 though so I measure everything else compared to Nokia's quality. I'm also waiting for the new camera APIs in the Lollipop update to be taken advantage of. Anyway here are some nice captures I've had. Second and third pics are unedited.

You can get good results using night mode and a tripod since you have no control over shutter speed in manual mode yet. Both pictures are unedited.

Taken at a recent Christmas Street fair. Auto mode handled the lighting conditions pretty well.

I've been a little disappointed with the Z3's camera performance. Coming from the 1020, I expected a drop off in image quality of which there is but colours at low light have been incredibly poor.

This one was taken on the Z3:

And this was taken on the 1020 a few seconds later:

It's all relative. You're coming from a better camera. I'm coming from an HTC one m7 where everything was purple in low light 😉

Hey just curious if you used superior auto or manual? It makes a huge difference and trust me I know cause I also came from the Lumia 1020. There's a lot left to be desired with the limitations of manual controls in Android until the Lollipop update but rest assured, you can still get some great shots with the Z3. Here's one I took with no edits or post processing done.

Here are a few shots taken from a high school state championship game at the Ravens stadium. For post processing I really like Photoshop Express and Pixlr. I also like Snapseed and VscoCam but I didn't use either for these photos. Last two pics are unedited.

I believe that photo was shot in superior mode. However, I have shot in manual and wasn't particularly blown away. I'm planning on some more tinkering over the weekend.

BTW, what resolution do you shoot in?

Also, what camera changes will Lollipop bring to the Z3 please? I suppose I should have researched these things before upgrading :)
