Hi,
Up until last week , I had an LG G3. I bought a cheap Miracast dongle on-line, and it worked really well, showing my screens phone on my Sony Bravia TV.
I've now got the Sony Z3, which is easily the best phone I've used. However, when trying Miracast with this, I keep getting an error saying that the output device is not HDCP compliant.
I've done a bit of research, and from what my meagre brain can gather, HDCP is on most newer TV's, and the Z3 seems to send it's stuff through Miracast in this format - but my TV is a 2007 model, and presumably
This whole Miracast thing isn't a deal-breaker by any means - it's a nice thing to use on occasion, but I have a micro USB to HDMI adaptor so can do the same through a wired connection.
So, with this HDCP thing is it just a case of not being able to use Miracast throught the Z3 on older TV's without this, or is there a way around?
Cheers,
