Since the dreadful Lollipop update, and losing so many things I loved about the Xperia, my latest realisation is actually the worst one yet. The speaker volume is dreadful. On top setting it's barely audible and I can hear everyone talking on the tube and not my music ! It's such a HUGE letdown. I got hold of an updated "mixer_paths.xml" file to install in the ETC folder but as the phone is not rooted I cannot paste in there and I can't amend the properties of the file either. Am SO disappointed and fed up with Sony/Android RUINING the phone I loved. How outrageous.

That's strange, I've not experienced this issue with the lollipop update on my Z3. Not sure if you have tried checking your accessory settings for headphones, mine reset to general after the update and I had to manually select the proper headset. Sorry to hear about your volume issues, that really sucks...how are you supposed to drown out the world. Best of luck getting it sorted. Wish I could be of more help.
