Re: [EI22][GINGERBREAD][EPIC 4G] Official Gingerbread Thread
Maybe somebody can get Galaxy Tuner working on Gingerbread. I love that app and it's the only reason I'd go back to SFR 1.2 I also hope they fixed the GPS issue too. Well, I'll be gng back to stock just to experience getting the upgrade.

Re: [EI22][GINGERBREAD][EPIC 4G] Official Gingerbread Thread
i'm waiting to see if anyone here got the update and if there are any issues. Every GB update so far seems to come with a trainload of issues, hopefully the wait is worth it and it's smooth.

Re: [EI22][GINGERBREAD][EPIC 4G] Official Gingerbread Thread
This might be wishful thinking, but could Gingerbread make it easier to get Kies Air on the Epic, like what's on the Epic Touch?

Re: [EI22][GINGERBREAD][EPIC 4G] Official Gingerbread Thread
I just got a pop up on my rooted Epic running 2.2. I went ahead and installed it. It rebooted and has been stuck on the screen that says "SAMSUNG" for about 30 minutes now.... I am not sure if it is downloading GB in the background. Maybe I shouldn't have installed in since I am rooted. I figured since I was rooted, I wouldn't get the update. I will post an update if something happens on mine.

Those looking to grab the OTA update and want to attempt to help find the direct download link.. Grab logcat from the Market and let it run, once you receive the OTA update notice we can look at the log cat report and find the direct download link to the update.zip.
You would be looking for a google.com/xxxxxxxupdate.zip address in the log cat... Thats the golden ticket for everyone to grab the manual download to update!

waiting as well, for Cyanogen Mod to do their magic. Then we truly rock. Maybe not flagship quality but definitely enough to get us through the contract until Galaxy Nexus is available. Wheee!

Re: [EI22][GINGERBREAD][EPIC 4G] Official Gingerbread Thread
I updated, but now its stuck on the galaxy s image, and will show sprint image, then back to galaxy s image.

I'm new to this, did exactly as the instructions said. I tried installing GB again and now it says
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
installation aborted.
What should i do?
I don't want to lose my data either.....Last edited by War3190; 11-09-2011 at 10:01 AM.
