Re: [EI22][GINGERBREAD] Official Gingerbread Bug Thread :(
whenever i connect my Epic to my computer (vista) i get the autoplay popup and i choose the Open folder to view files. the folder opens but i cant access none of the folders in it eg. music, my pictures, my sounds. If I try opening them computer freezes and i have to disconnect the phone from the computer. the only way i can add or remove stuff from the sd card is by using a sd card reader. Ive tried reformatting the sd card from the phone and from the computer but it still does the same thing. also if i connect my phone to the ps3 I choose the mass storage option and i connect as mass storage. the phone stalls for a while and gets out of the mass storage back to the home screen.

Phone keeps rebooting...
I followed the directions on the video and after installing, the phone seems to be caught in a loop while it tries to reboot. I have no idea what to do. I tried to do a battery pull, but it never progresses beyond the pulsing "S"/"Galaxy S" screen. After staying on it for about 2-3 minutes, the yellow and white Sprint 4g animation will begin, and then the phone goes back to the pulsing "S"/"Galaxy S" screen. Please HELP!!!! LOL...

**** BOOT LOOPING AFTER INSTALLATION ****
1. Pull your battery
2. Boot back into stock recovery (Press and Hold Vol Down+Camera+Power)
3. Do a full reset/system wipe (Yes you loose your data
SORRY)
4. Reboot.

Re: Phone keeps rebooting...
Paul, I wiped the phone, but now when it gets to the "verifying update package" step, i get an error that says: "E:failed to verify whole-file signature", "E:signature verification failed". I wanted to redownload the update.zip file, but my computer (running windows 7) won't install the samsung drivers. Thanks for the earlier tip, but I'm still stuck!

Re: Phone keeps rebooting...
i had the same problem. infinite loop and the tried to reload and got the error. I reset phone and let it boot up but when i went to the system if it said I was on gingerbread. Try wipe phone and reboot the phone with out apply the update again and see what version you are running.

Re: [EI22][GINGERBREAD] Official Gingerbread Bug Thread :(
Had the boot loop but was able to get out of it by powering down the phone before it rebooted again during the power up. I went ahead and did a factory reset anyway later when I had more battery, but it seemed to stop the cycle.

Re: [EI22][GINGERBREAD] Official Gingerbread Bug Thread :(
There's a problem with the volume during a call. If I'm on the phone and I have the phone up to my ear, I can't adjust the volume until I take the phone away from my ear. I noticed that same bug with the leaked builds also. Another thing, when I look at downloaded documents, the phone seems to get hung up when I try to back out. I think I'll try reformatting and see what happens. As far as keyboard lag, I haven't noticed any missed inputs when setting up the phone. That's all I got so far.

Re: [EI22][GINGERBREAD] Official Gingerbread Bug Thread :(
Installed GB via the manual download and installed without problem.
Keep getting this weird Force Close whenever I try to see my contact details, I did a factory reset and it seemed to be working fine right after but now I'm getting the same error again. Not sure what it could be. - 11-10-2011, 07:02 AM #20
Re: [EI22][GINGERBREAD] Gingerbread " Bug Thread "
Two Issues only so far.
Both pretty minor.
1: GPS will lock up after about 15 minutes. Both Telenav and Google Nav will just stop tracking and report that there is no GPS available. Restart phone, will work for about another 15 min.
2: Keyboard still skips a couple characters. It is MUCH better than it was previously, and is actually in line with the keyboard fix before. Maybe I'm actually just not pushing some keys hard enough
Background. When THE picture of the EI22 refurb came out, I Odin back to Eclair, let OTA to EC05. Downloaded the manual update from google servers. No errors during/after install. Battery life seems much better so far.Sprint Galaxy Nexus [stock for now]

Don't really know if this is a bug with gingerbread but for the 1st time since getting a replacement phone last march, my phone randomly shut itself down while just lying on my desk. Phone had more than 80% of battery left. This has only happened once so far but I guess it's worth mentioning.

Re: [EI22][GINGERBREAD] Gingerbread " Bug Thread "
Is anyone having a problem with their gmail app? No other app is acting up, however when I try to view my gmail, it says "unable to connect to server, username/password not valid" When I checked the account settings, everything seems to be what it should, however i can't check gmail from phone. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance

This also may not be a bug but it didn't happen with froyo. When my screen is off, my notification
LED blinks every minute or so. I keep checking for new messages but there are none. Don't know if it is telling me the phone is on or if there is a new message.

Edit: This was fixed with a simple battery pull. I think it was a glitch caused when my phone randomly shut off. When I turned it back on after the shut down, I noticed it. Was about to reset my phone but decided to pull the battery first. I'm glad I did...Last edited by keithvetter; 11-10-2011 at 05:04 PM.
