It seems my phone is pulling random names and creating hidden unassigned contacts for them. I found my childrren listed under there, my 4yr old niece, ancestors on my family tree that I had discussed in an email, many more including disturbingly a contact created under my sisters recently stillborn babies name. Needless to say I dont want it doing that. Is it pulling people off of Picasa that I have named? Or random people mentioned in my gmail? Any idea on how to make it stop?

Not really sure but Picasa is integrated sorta speak with GMail and Google so it is a possibility.... Or they are listed some how in some way as a contact or Gtalk contact, something in your Google account...

i had something similar - after i flashed my epic, i skipped restoring the phone contacts and only used facebook and google contacts. the names were getting mixed up and so were the contact pics. after i restored teh phone contacts, everything cleared up. if this helps at all.

I had a bunch of my Skype contacts appear as Unassigned after I installed Skype. Maybe that's it?
