Power button does not work.
Hello, I recently had a problem with my epic 4g in which my power button, camera button, and the top and bottom row of my qwerty keypad did not work. I recently bought a new keyboard flex and frame port for my phone and I put it in. Unfortunately my power button still does not work and the only way I'm able to turn it on is by rapidly plugging and un-plugging the charger. However, my other buttons work fine.
I didn't Gingerbread update my phone since I always run into installation problems. Any suggestions on what I should do that doesn't involve taking it to a Spring Repair center? - 05-09-2012, 10:07 AM #2
Re: Power button does not work.
You can try to make sure the power button is installed correctly, it may have slipped a little during install. If that doesn't work, remove the "button" and use a small non-sharp (ball point pen works well) item to push the contact. If THAT doesn't work than it could be a connection on the board. Either track the parts that aren't working, or let Sprint take care of it. The service centers really aren't all that scary
