So I was reading about that whole Samsung Behold II debacle, but I noticed that the Samsung Moment got a 2.1 update (yes, I do know that it doesn't run Touchwiz). Do you think that this was the fault of T-Mobile by any chance? I for one think that the Galaxy S phones will see Gingerbread, but I want to know what others think, especially with the Epic looking quite different from the rest of the Galaxy S phones.
Behold 2 does run TW, well, TW+ (stupid rotating cube thing).
As for support of the Galaxy S series... I see Samsung doing a BIG push to support since it's now being released worldwide including all 4 major US Carriers (very rare in the times of exclusivity deals).
Now, since it is being released worldwide, there is the Dev community which brings us hacks, fixes, ROMs, themes, etc. These will be abundant; with XDA starting to become as expansive as it has (CDMA is heavily supported, whereas in the past... lots of crickets in the "special" forums) you should expect longevity in the device. You'll even find the dev community will support the device more quickly than the manufacturer can because Samsung has to get the carrier's approval (testing) before it's released to the masses.
