So, I have a MacBook Pro i5 (6,2) system. I've noticed that when plugging in my Epic 4G, no matter the cable, that neither adb nor mounting the disk works in either OS X or Windows 7.

Here's where it gets interesting. If I plug it in via a USB hub which is not powered, then it works. It also appears to work just fine on my wife's older MacBook Core2Duo.

Any thoughts?

It works fine on my Macbook Core 2 Duo as well. Lots of people having problems on the newer Macbook Pros. I even got adb working through my router to my computer today. The DLink Dir 655 has a USB port in the back you can connect any device to... including a 7-Port hub :) Now I can do ADB and mount the sd card to both my macbook and Win 7 desktop.

My thought so far is that it may have something to do with how much power it's pulling. That's the only think I can think of.

I've also tested going through my cinema display hub and same issues.
