DI08 update posted at xda

A user at the xda forums ripped the update from their phone and posted it. I just installed it through clockwork and it did fix my upload speed. Get it here:

hmm I'd rather just wait for the drop from sprint. I'm paranoid about installing these things from unknown sources.

It worked perfectly after i restored all the Sprint bloatware.

Now to go delete all the crap again...

Just dumped this bad boy onto my SD card, renamed it and rebooted accordingly. Installed without a glitch and hope to test 3G speeds later tonight.

i tested and my download AND upload were better than ive ever had. average before in my house was 250 down and 140 up, now i am getting 755 down and 415 up

Shouldn't the DI08 update be reflected in the settings? My phone went through the update, but I just noticed it still shows DI07 in the settings.

This is correct. Mine shows DI18.

Just my luck. I went through the whole boot-up screen and applied the update. Just did it three times in a row and still doesn't show it in the settings.

does it say update completed when its done? are you rooted missing any apps?

Yes, the first time. The other times it says it's up to date already. Could it be that it's pulling another update.zip (older one)? I guess I can delete any other update.zip files I might have on the SD card. Boot up screen didn't give me a choice, just one option.

I'm rooted but no custom ROM.

are any apps missing and yes double check on the update.zip go in and erase anything update.zip and put a fresh one on once you know its gone and try again

Tried deleting all "update" files and re-downloaded the DI18 file. Just tried installing and it says:

E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted.

Any ideas?

the only thing i can think is something missing, have you removed any sprint stock apps? sprint nascar, football,tv, nav...etc?

updated and it worked i have gotten to 315 k thats good for me since i usually get a bad signal at my room

you can try the update.zip file I have hosted with instructions. Just load onto sdcard and flash through stock recovery.

ok i know nothing about speeds.. im here in Atlanta, GA.. and for 3g.. i got the below results from speedtest.net

820 kbps download
615 kbps uplodad

is that good? lol def appears cap removed.. just updated to d108

meh, download isn't great, upload is though.

Indoors in my room where data speeds have been sub-par. Now, not so bad... Kinda wanna go outside and see how they are.

PS, anyone else notice significantly higher speeds when you turn off GPS?
