Apps installed in random order

When I install a new app from the market, it seems that the app is being installed at the end of the existing list of applications, rather than in alphabetical order. Any reason for this happening? How can I get the applications to install in order so that I can find them in the application list?

Do you have 2.2 installed? If so, you have to manually arrange programs by alphabetical order. In The app grid view, press menu, edit, menu,the tap "a-z sort".

I still have the stock 2.1 installed.

I went to the applications and changed the view from grid to list and back to grid again. This reorganized the applications and put them in order.
