Cant rotate maps on google maps 5.0

Just got google maps 5.0 today. 3d mode worked but I can not for the life of me get the maps to rotate as advertised. Googles instr. Were to first enter 3d mode by scrolling down with 2 fingers (check) then to rotate with two fingers to rotate around a building. This did not work.

Any one get this to work?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I *think* you have to be running Froyo for that feature to work.

I think its a froyo feature... not sure why the rest of new maps works and that feature requires froyo though. My evo sporting pal rotated his map just fine and laughed at me and my non rotating epic. Also 3d buildings can crash the Epic resulting in a needed battery pull! Again, hopefully froyo will improve this app.

Hum My Epic has no problem with 3d buildings.

Yup, it crashed on me.

According to this:

It says under the "Note:" section:

"Rotating gestures require Android OS 2.2 or later."

So once again thank you Sprint/Samsung for delaying 2.2
