Not getting calls, Airave problems, double text notifications
First problem about every other phone call get sent to voice mail with out ringing
Second the Airave wont stay connected on the internet I have to reboot it "airave" usually daily
Third not directly the fault of the phone or carrier but using handcent and text go to both stock and handcent apps and the tab to clear defaults on both is grayed out....

If you have to use the Airave to get signal, you probably shouldn't be using Sprint... Have you checked what other companies what might work better where you are?

Ok not sarcasm again ... i want help, not a suggestion on a different carrier's. yes I changed to Sprint from word of mouth and cost I'm blaming Sprint for their crappy coverage .. for what its worth I'm just North of Detroit....I take it we have some sensitive Sprint employees in here... so please help on a solution WITH my phone not about switching carriers PLEASE!!! OBTW carraser891 please read my post dont skip threw..........

If you don't have anything constructive to contribute to this thread, don't post in it.
The first two problems are service/airave related. There's nothing you can do to your phone itself to fix them. You'll have to contact Sprint.
For the third, open the stock messaging app and do this: press menu button>Settings>uncheck the box next to Notifications. - 04-03-2011, 10:41 PM #7
Wow! I just had this problem today and I thought I was going nuts! I tested by calling from my landline to my handset and calling out and it was ireratic whether I got thru or not - I was on the phone with Sprint and they had me remove my battery and they tried resetting something on their side - it worked once while I was on the phone with them - then it failed.
So I reset my Airave and while it was resetting I tried calling from my landline to my handset and not problem, so I am guessing my airave had a glitch - so far so good - I hope it is the Airave and or their towers rather than my phone - their problem and not mine
But glad I wasn't the only one that had this problem! I guess I will have to call the Airave Tech instead of Sprint Tech if the problem comes back, but at least I know what is the cause of my problem.
Edited: I did the same test today - calling from my landline to my cell, and my calls still come thru even after 3 rapid phone call redials from my landline to cell - so maybe the Airave servers are up and running correctly now!

I also have an Airave When I was home this weekend it was doing the same exact thing, people who called me got my voice mail. It seems to be a Airave network problem. I was given a trouble ticket by Sprint and said an engineer would be calling me in 72 hr's. It was working again when I left today. So.............. you are not the only one. And for the smarty pants that thinks you should switch service because you don't get service at your house duhhhhhhhh it's the only place I don't get service because of some weird phenomena. I would never go with Big RED their service is no better than mine and they pay almost twice the price and I'm over ten year's with Sprint I get an upgrade every year ha.. and Big Blue ATT ahhh all my friend's who have i-phones L.A New York and Vegas all drop calls when I talk to them.... Had to vent..........

Call Sprint Airaves Tech support 866-556-7310 - different from standard support number - they will have you go thru a more advanced speed test and test your line of your internet connection, because that is where the Airave is getting it's connection for it's performance values.
When someone asks me what phone they should get, I always tell them to pick the carrier first, then the phone - there is no use in having the best phone, or cheapeast plan, if you don't have coverage in the area you want with that carrier if that makes sense.
I just hate glitches!

I also had the exact same problem with my Airave.
I resetted the airave, updated the PRL and profile on my 3 sprint phones, and after about 24 hours of agony and mystery, the problem disappeared.
I don't know if resetting helped, or if Sprint fixed something on their end.
But all is good now.
