SWYPE. Love it, Had I known how good swype was I probably would not have been so quick to chose the Epic because of the Physical Keyboard.

I still use the physical keybopard and like to have the option just in case the touch screen freezes or dcides to be unresponsive.
Please add thanks if I have helped you in anyway. I will always spread the Aloha and reciprocate.

Swype, no contest. Everything else i've tried just doesn't do it for me. In my opinion, swype is the only way to use a software keyboard (i generally dont do software keyboards, but swype has been added as an exception to that rule)

I do still use the hardware keyboard a good deal, too.

I don't care too much for swype. It'sd a cool novelty, but unless your hands are dry, sometimes your finger skips along the face of the screen... I just wish I could find a keyboard that has the DI18 auto-correct features

SwiftKey gets the most use for me, physical keyboard 2nd, Swype 3rd.

I am to the point now where my next phone can be physical keyboard free.

Oddly enough, I still really like the physical keyboard for anything more than a quick text.

GB keyboard is much much better (its the one I'm using since syndicate frozen only has swype as a virtual option). It still doesn't auto correct like DI18 did. Unless it's been that long, I could have sworn that DI18 auto correct did so on the fly. GB keyboard makes auto suggestions, but doesn't auto correct.

Here's hoping GB 2.3 returns to that. I read the bulletin that suggests improvements to texting. Might be time to look into flashing a GB ROM.

If SwiftKey were to get the compact keyboard in portrait mode it would be my daily driver for sure.

    SwiftKey for the win.

Swype is decent but as time goes on the accuracy gets worse, it's a bug even Swype admits.

I don't use the Swype that came with the phone either, I'm a beta tester. So I get the most up to date version and the bug still exists.

Check SwiftKey, u won't be disappointed.

Sometimes it auto completes full sentences for me.

I still like the physical keyboard. Swype is normally what I use but when I start getting bad word predictions or have to start jumping between alphabet and numbers I bust out the physical.

I picked up my old BB the other day just for kicks, I still can't believe how a physical keyboard so small is still such an easy and speed demon of a keyboard once you get the hang of it... BB will always seem to hold that as its one advantage over any device on the market.

I agree, I had to use a curve 8530 for a couple weeks recently and the physical keyboard owns lol

Physical keyboard was a big reason for choosing the Epic over Evo, had I known how little I would be using it with Swype, I may have made a different decision.

I still would of gone with the Epic over the Evo. There are many that have defected from the Evo over to the Epic for hardware advantages.

After years of using Treos and Blackberrys I primarily use the physical keyboard. It is not as good as a BB keyboard but is a huge improvement over any virtual keyboard I have tried.

If I need to type something short I use the GB keyboard.

I came from BB also but actually have trouble with the physical keyboard. It's too wide.

My favorite keyboard is Shapewriter. It was pulled from the market (bought by Nuance), but if you google it you can find it (hint, there is a link in the forums at the old Shapewriter website).

It's like Swype, with better accuracy (and not as many features).
