Default Skype video calling arrives - but not for the Epic

...yet, anyway. I'm hoping it's "yet". They say more device support coming soon.

Think it's safe to assume they're waiting for the Galaxy S models to all get Gingerbread before supporting? Kind of like Netflix?

Which begs the question... if someone is running a Gingerbread ROM, I wonder if there's a way to get it working??

Whats stupid is in the description of the app, it says "Galaxy s phones need 2.2 for video" or something along those lines.
Nevermind, read it wrong. Just says you need 2.2 to run the app on galaxy s devices.

Ok, apparently the new version of the Skype app now "officially" suports the Galaxy S, even on froyo, with the caveat that only the back camera will work. Yes, kind of dumb but better than nothing.

But... can anyone make it work, even with the back camera? I uninstalled Skype, reinstalled the new version, enabled video calling in settings, but when I actually try to video call a computer, it's like it tries to enable video for a second, but I end up with a normal voice call. No video on phone, and no option to even start video on the computer.

I'm on SRF 1.1.1 / TwilightZone, if that matters.
