Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
Yeah, and let them and the UK work out all the bugs while their at it before coming to Sprint.

Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
I seriously doubt it's coming to Sprint any time soon. Maybe they will have a wimax version sometime next year, but there is just no chance in hell it will be out by December.

Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
While I remain hopeful, I seriously doubt it will be released next month. EVERY rumor about a release date, even those with "proof", have been false.
I do think Sprint will release it with 3G/LTE radios though because when I bought my EVO it had Wimax 4G before Sprint even began rolling it out. And, even though I was lied to by several salesmen that 4G would come to San Diego, it never materialized. For this reason I don't think Sprint has a problem selling phones with specs that they don't support yet (or ever.) - 11-23-2011, 11:24 AM #9
Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
anybody else think sprint will ditch unlimited data once they introduce LTE?

^ I fear the same thing. We will see though D;

Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
I fear that as well. Unlimited/Price is the ONLY thing keeping me with Sprint. If that changes when LTE is introduced Sprint won't last long, I'm afraid.
webOS is dead. Long live Android.

Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
I would love to see Sprint get the Galaxy Nexus, it would def keep me from jumping ship and switching to another network. However, I feel that December might be a tad unrealistic given the fact that Verizon has some sort of temporary exclusive deal for this phone.
I really hope your "source" is reliable, but I can't let myself get too excited over this yet. - 11-24-2011, 10:54 AM #14
Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
Seriously, I would love to see it. But I don't think it's going to be happening before the holidays. That doesn't mean it's not coming, but so many things are up in the air. When is the original Nexus S 4G EOL set for? LTE? If it comes with LTE, I don't think it will be released this year. I could see Sprint doing a Redux, but say an upgraded Exynos processor. I just think Sprint will stick it out with the E4GT until early next year, not to mention, CES is right around the corner. I expect the EVO line will have LTE radios undoubtedly, maybe we'll see the GN without LTE. But I just don't see it coming in December.

Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
I would love to see the GN come out in Dec, but I doubt it as well. With Verizon dragging it's feet on the release you have to wonder how long this exclusivity deal will last. The phone was introduced a while ago and it is still not available in the USA. Not good for Google or the GN in my opinion. One month is a long time in the phone world.

Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
Can Sprint afford to not keep unlimited?
I'd love to see the GN out in December, but I am cynical in nature...Thanked by 2: - 11-25-2011, 08:16 AM #17
Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
I sure hope you right. I would love for the Nexus to come to Sprint. Would it have an LTE chip in it?

Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
Dan Hesse is a big believer in simple pricing and unlimited data plans for phones. if he stays at Sprint he will fight to keep it.

Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
I don't think Sprint will ever get the Nexus. They have so many other issues to deal with that they are falling behind the advancement in new phones. They spent too much money on the iPhone deal and gambled away even more money on WiMax.

Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
December 2012 perhaps? At this point, we will be lucky if verizon releases it in Dec 2011...

Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
I doubt Sprint will release a phone that is a year old. The next Nexus phone will already be gearing up to launch in 2012. It looks like Sprint will pass on this and probably many new phones mostly do to the complexity and expense of their network changeover to LTE.
- 12-01-2011, 08:58 AM #22
Really? They'll get it. I'm figuring around march. They are not falling behind on phones, they just release their big phones in the summer/early fall. 2 months ago peoplewere saying Sprint had the best lineup of Android phones. They'll be saying it again next summer. Its all a big cycle

Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
Really?!?
Is it going to be LTE or WiMax?
That's the problem, they are more likely to pass on these kind of phones and will probably pump out sucky LTE/WiMax battery draining single core, low res phones till they get their act together on the 4G front. - 12-01-2011, 09:35 AM #24
They can't do that without losing business, and I think they know that. They're already working on LTE with the first markets scheduled for the middle of the year, so I can see them bringing the LTE version. They're not going to stop releasing high end phones just because they're in a 4g transitional period, that would bury them..

Re: Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.
If there's one thing Sprint knows, it's how to loose business.
Just wait and see...
