Just updated mine and opened it with no problems. No SU permissions request either....totally weird.

Yup defiantly ask for su permissions. AKOP milestone 5. In my opinion by Google asking for su in one of it's apps they are supporting root users, even though that is totally not the case but hey if push comes to shove ever I'll be bringing this up :-)
