File transfers denied using USB Host Mode & ES File Explorer
Environment:
Rooted Sprint Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE running stock rom
Host mode cable w/ thumb drive
Stick Mount
ES File Explorer
The USB Host mode cable works great, I recognize the USB thumb drive, able to read files, transfer most files, etc. However if I try to transfer a large file from the thumb drive to the phone's storage it fails. I have plenty of space, approx 25gb free but it won't allow me to transfer the file. If connect the phone to a desktop, the files will transfer just fine.
Anyone know whether it's Stick Mount, ES File Explorer, or the OS that is limiting the file copy?
Thanks,

Is this plugging a USB direct to the phone with an adapter?
If so, all I can think of is a possible power / voltage issue with the demand of the larger file?
