Re: The Jelly Bean OTA update is complete.
Poor Verizon folks... I don't want to poke fun at them because after all at least Verizon and Google have kept communication open via AOSP to have support. Sprint on the other hand has broken that open line of communication.
Thus the reason why devs have had to work extra hard to get us the goods for restoring to stock when rooted and jumping thru hoops to get the proprietary files pulled off the devices to build ROMs

Re: The Jelly Bean OTA update is complete.
Question, I am on stock ICS 4.0.4 with baseband L700.05 V. FC12 / L700.FC12 and build number IMM76K.L700FG01
Everytime I try the framework method above, its a 173 MB file. It downloads and then I install. I then get the android guy standing up and it goes to about 20% before the android then lays down with a red triangle with a exclamation point in that. I then have to pull the battery and reboot.
Does anyone know how to fix this other than doing it multiple times? I ask since I have not read anything about the red triangle.
Any help is appreciated and thank you.Last edited by Poda; 09-28-2012 at 12:58 AM.

Re: The Jelly Bean OTA update is complete.
1. Just to verify your using the Sprint Galaxy Nexus correct?
2. FC12 wasn't the final ICS 4.0.4 release... FD02 was the final 4.0.4 release which you device must be on for the update to work from ICS to JB.
3. Every once in a while we come upon a fussy device that for some reason never received the proper updates or WON'T receive OTA updates. In these cases I've helped these members along by using Odin or other means to get them updated (normally it means wiping the device) or they have taken them into Sprint for replacement because they refuse to accept updates.

Re: The Jelly Bean OTA update is complete.
Hi Paul, thanks for the reply.
1. Yes I am on the Sprint Galaxy Nexus.
I found a "factory image" that I have flashed that shows the baseband L700.5 V.FC12 / L700.FC12 and the build number is IMM76D.L700FD02 and get the same result.
The numbers that were provided in my first post are that of the back up I made. I used the Nexus Root Toolkit by Wugfresh. One last thing to keep in mind is I bought this phone brand new in box but not on contract so I am not sure if I can return it? The phone is fully functional in its current state in which I can just flash a stable JB ROM if we can not figure this out, but I would like a stock JB phone so I can use that as my baseline backup.
I appreciate your help Paul.Last edited by Poda; 09-28-2012 at 09:35 PM.

Re: The Jelly Bean OTA update is complete.
Paul! You my man are a genius. I figured it out with the radio hint you gave.
"2. FC12 wasn't the final ICS 4.0.4 release... FD02 was the final 4.0.4 release which you device must be on for the update to work from ICS to JB."
I flashed the FD02 radio, which then brought me to an update to the FG01 radio, which then installed JB! I did a factory reset and then made a stock recovery image for future use.
My radio now looks like L700.05 V.FH05 / L700.FH05 Build Number JRO03U.L700FH05.
Thank you so much for your help! Last question I have, which root kit should I be using?
