same thing happened to me...

You need to flash the update.zip file using a custom recovery like CWM. Don't worry you don't have to be rooted See this post in the AC blog with further instructions..

You must not have been updated fully for whatever reason.. Sounds like you were on stock released FC12 if its updating you to FD02. Once that is complete you can wash, rinse and repeat and hopefully be recieving/upgrading to FH05 JellyBean.

Follow the link I left above for installing JellyBean... You need to use FASTBOOT from your computer to boot into a custom recovery to flash the FD02 update. Then repeat the process for Jelly Bean.

Edit: I understand what your saying, I don't understand this messed up stock recovery after restoring back to stock...

Recommend using the link below, grab the FD02 "recovery.img" and flash that in FASTBOOT and see if that restores your stock recovery. Then you should be good to go from there.

Could you provide a little more history as to your current setup on the device?

Must be running latest FG01 (ICS 4.0.4) stock to use the manual update file.

Have you verified under about phone that it is FG01?

Then you followed the instructions from the AC blog post to flash this update.zip by booting into CWM recovery?

You must be selecting "Install zip from sdcard" option.

I was having similar issues before I made sure that my stock rom matched the correct stock radios. Before that I kept getting the FD02 update but it wouldn't stick, and I wasn't getting JB. After flashing the updated (pre-JB) radios, I got the FD02 update to stick, and then JB OTA.
